E.B. Mason
Edmund B. Mason earned his B.F.A. degree at the University of Louisiana and his master’s degree from Central Michigan University.
He served in the United States Air Force as a Logistics and Engineering officer and worked for many years in Turkey, North Africa and Italy. After his Air Force career, he worked for a defense contractor. Following his illness, he retired and tended to his rose garden and wrote from his home in Maryland. Mr. Mason passed away in 2011.

The first pic is from 2008 and was taken by a professional photographer.
The second pic was taken in St Croix, USVI in Dec 2010. Anne Bowen was the photographer.
The third pic was taken in Marrakesh, Morocco in 1990. Ed enjoyed traveling and learning about new cultures. He was interested in art and architecture and culture generally, especially in the Arab countries. He had a great sense of adventure.
At the main square, a snake charmer put a snake around his neck and of course, one must pay to have it removed. He really liked this picture, and he used it to apply for the job in Afghanistan. Anne Bowen was the photographer.
The 4th pic is a photo of Ed in 1994 or 1995 at Aviano AB in Italy. He was the Chief of Maintenance fir the 555 Fighter Squadron at thistime. During the dream portion of his book, he speaks about our home there. Photographer unknown.
